Kwasi Thomas is a Canadian actor.
Kwasi has much experience writing and performing many forms of acting, ranging from a comedy singing boy-band referred to as "Nickelblack", sketch comedy shows, to more serious plays and theatre. Kwasi is always concerned with allowing the role he is performing the utmost respect.
Kwasi Thomas began his stand up comedy career in Montreal in November of 2002. Since then, he has grown from open miker, to a weekend regular pleasing crowds all over the country. Performing at Comedyworks and Comedy Nest in Montreal, Club Absolute and Yuk Yuk's in Ottawa and Toronto, as well as countless college tours, Kwasi now spends a healthy portion of his life on Canada's west coast stages. He's been a member of The Dead Comics Society sketch troupe, and has produced successful comedy events such as "The Drunken Show: BC Budz Edition". In the summers of '05, '06, and '08 Kwasi took the stage during the Best of the Fest Showcase and represented Montreal at the Just For Laughs Homegrown Competition. Now residing in Vancouver, Kwasi can be found performing his irreverent east coast style of stand-up on west coast stages such as The Comedy Mix, Lafflines, Edmonton's Laugh Shop as well as Heckler's in Victoria, B.C.
- From the age of seven to thirteen, Kwasi modeled for the Canadian department store Zellers. He's convinced himself and others that he was one of the first people to wear Toronto Raptors pajamas.
